In Home Dog Training
Getting ready for a new puppy or introducing a second dog to the household?
Have an expert digger or chewer that is driving you crazy?
Rescued a dog that has some special needs?
Have reactive dog that is hard to take out around other dogs?
Have an anxious dog that struggles to be left alone?
Have an over excited or barking dog at home?
There are times where a private, in-home consultation is the best option for you and your dog. These allow the me to see first hand the behaviours where they occur and tailor solutions that will work for you, your dog and your lifestyle.
Over excited dog or excessive barking?
While it is great to know your dog is excited you are home, it’s not so cute when they jump on visitors, knock over kids or bark for attention. I can help restore quiet to the house and calmness to greetings.
Is separation anxiety a problem for your dog?
Dogs are social animals, and some struggle to cope when alone. After a in-home consultation with you, together we can implement strategies and exercises aimed at increasing your dog’s confidence and comfort when alone.
Adopted a rescue dog with special needs?
Adopting a rescue dog can be a wonderful experience, but sometimes they need a little extra care to help them adjust to their new life. It doesn’t matter what was in their past, I want to help you set them up for a bright future.
Introducing a second dog in to your home?
First impressions count, so let me set you up for a lifelong friendship between your furry family members. If you’ve already introduced a new family member, but things aren’t going well, don’t give up! It’s not too late to hope for peace.
Let Us Address Behavioural Problems With In-Home Dog Training
Getting a new puppy is an exciting albeit challenging time as is adding a new member to your pet family. I offer in-home dog training to ensure that the transition is the joyful and enriching experience that it should be.
Restore Calm in Your Household With an In-home Dog Trainer
Even if you’ve already come home to be unpleasantly surprised by chewed furniture or shoes, it’s not too late to positively guide your dog towards desired behaviours. I also offer in-home consultation to socialise dogs and address excitable conduct such as jumping on visitors, knocking over children, or barking for no reason. These are the services that you can expect from Switched On Dogs:
Dog training. I use positive reinforcement during training by rewarding good behaviour and encouraging a loving relationship between owner and pup instead of one of fear.
Walk and train sessions. I offer the convenience of picking up and dropping off your dog. My days and times are flexible too. Taking your pooch for a walk not only benefits them physically, but also stimulates their senses and builds their confidence around other people and dogs. They’ll be less inclined to dig up your garden, and you’ll find that they sleep better as well after having had the opportunity to release their energy.
In-home puppy training. Let me help you get things off to a good start by laying the foundations for good manners. Besides the basics, I also teach leash manners and recalls.
I’m also experienced at training special needs dogs and rescues, where I help them acclimatise to their new environment and feel safe in and outside of your home.
Taking the Time and Effort to Lay the Groundwork
I am qualified to provide effective dog training where the following offerings are what sets my services apart:
Patient and positive training. I provide science-based, force-free methods for results that will stick throughout your pet’s lifetime.
Tailormade programmes. I offer personal service where, based on the information you provide during the consultation, I custom-make your puppy training to align with your needs and get to the root cause of certain behaviours by identifying certain triggers.
Productive yet fun learning environment. I believe in creating a worthwhile experience for your pup during puppy training by providing engaging activities that encourage mutual understanding.
